NBA and MLB concerned about sports betting bills
The NBA and Major League Baseball are concerned about two sports betting bills making their way through the legislature. The two sports leagues say the bills don’t go far enough to make sure the laws will not interfere with the integrity of their leagues. If the bills are passed, it would become legal to place a bet on a professional baseball or basketball game at one of the state’s five casinos.
