Natural gas storage facility clears first hurdle

The U.S. Department of Energy has approved the first of two applications for a nearly 2-billion dollar loan for the Appalachia Development Group to construct a regional underground storage hub and pipeline network for shale gas. ADG plans to build natural gas liquids storage operations in the Ohio River Valley and Kanawha River Valley.
