More than 700 correctional officers hired

The Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety has hired more than seven-hundred correctional officers since March. The promise of significant wage increases and a career path through a new salary schedule has helped the recruiting process. The pay raises will benefit all new hires and existing employees, and go into effect next month.
