Medicaid is expanding substance abuse treatment

Medicaid is expanding services to treat substance abuse in West Virginia. State health officials say the first phase of the new services is now available to patients with a substance abuse diagnosis. Coverage includes a screening tool to identify treatment needs and coverage for methadone to treat withdrawals.
