Man arrested for shooting a deer near apartments

A Charleston man was arrested for shooting a deer next to an apartment building. Aaron Slater was returning home from a morning hunt when he saw the deer near the Vandalia apartments. Slater fired a .22 rifle twice at the deer within 15 yards of the apartment buildings. He didn’t have a hunting license when police questioned him.
