License Suspended after Bar is Raided
After a raid on a Charleston bar, West Virginia’s liquor licensing agency has suspended its license. Park Place bar on Charleston’s West Side was raided Tuesday night and police said several arrests were made after a long-term drug investigation. Eyewitness News reports, Alcohol Beverage Control Administration Commissioner Fred Wooton suspended the license of Park Place, and a mix of patrons and management at the bar were among those arrested. More warrants have yet to be served. Police said they believe this bar is a focal point for crime and are hoping to eventually to get the bar shut down permanently. The investigation is ongoing.
