Lawyers in Murray Energy mining lawsuit need more time

The White House is asking for more time to work on a mining industry lawsuit with Murray Energy. The “Gazette” reported over the weekend that lawyers on both sides requested another 90 days to continue working out a deal. The lawsuit is over a federal rule that strengthens enforcement at coal operations with repeated safety violations.
