Kanawha School District Approves More Raises

More raises in the Kanawha County School district….back in May 2 percent raises for teachers and 1 percent raises for service workers were okayed by the board, and on Monday the school board okayed pay increases for central office staff. Principals and assistant principals across the district will be getting raises in a move that aims to retain the best and brightest, and attract other top administrators to the district. A compensation study by an outside firm provided inspiration for the pay increases.
