Kanawha County Judge Accused of Misconduct
A panel of judges has ruled that a Kanawha County Magistrate judge should be formally charged with multiple violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct. Eyewitness News says the West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission has ruled Kanawha County Magistrate Judge Jack Pauley is accused of leaving his post an hour early without informing anyone on August 25, 2016 when a Charleston police officer needed to get an arrest warrant signed. The officer was unable to get or execute the arrest warrant. Two other incidents are also in question. No hearing date has been set yet for Pauley.
