Investigation Continues After Pedestrian is Killed on Train Tracks

The investigation continues after one person was struck and killed by a train early Wednesday morning. Metro 911 dispatchers got a call around 7am from the area of Rock Lake Drive and the Kanawha Turnpike. Chestnut Street was shut down at the railroad crossing in South Charleston while police and the state medical examiner assessed what happened. No word yet on what the person was doing on the tracks or how the accident happened.
