Human remains found in Cross Lanes

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after skeletal remains were found behind a home on Peasants Drive in Cross Lanes. The property owner was doing yard work when he found the badly decomposed body. Preliminary reports suggest the body may have been there for two months. Police are treating the death as suspicious.
