Dunbar to Keep School Resource Officer After All

The Dunbar City Council has had a change of heart. The board reversed an earlier decision that would have removed a police officer from the middle school by declining to accept a grant that would have paid a portion of the officer’s salary. Dozens of parents turned out to protest the move, and a Monday night’s meeting the council voted to reverse the decision and keep the police officer at the school.
