Conviction upheld in Social Security fraud scheme

A federal appeals panel has upheld the conviction of a Pikeville psychologist who pleaded guilty in a more than 500-million-dollars Social Security fraud scheme. Forty-seven-year-old Bradley Adkins is serving a 25-year sentence after he was convicted of conspiracy, fraud, and making false statements. Adkins signed nearly 250 forms containing false information without reviewing them.
