Confederate plaque removed from courthouse

A plaque honoring Confederate soldiers has been removed from a West Virginia courthouse. The Jefferson County Commission voted to remove the plaque this week. Officials have been discussing the plaque’s future since last year, following the violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia. It hasn’t been decided if the plaque will be relocated.
