Changes in Kanawha County school safety plans

In response to recent church and theater shootings, Kanawha County School officals are beefing up the district’s existing school safety plan. All 4,000 full-time staff and even some student will go thru the
A-L-I-C-E training program. ALICE stands for alert, lockdown, inform, counter, evacuate. Kanawha County Schools will also be increasing their mandatory active training drills from one to four this upcoming year.
