Car thief brought down by K9 officer

A woman was arrested early Sunday morning for stealing a car in the Elkview area. Samantha Schafer led police on a chase on Rutledge Road, and crashed on Martin Hollow Road. She took off on foot, and was brought down by a K9 unit. She’s charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
