Board of Education recommends increased education funding

The State Board of Education is asking lawmaker to raise teacher’s salaries and increase the number of instructors in West Virginia. Board members would also like to reestablish leave incentives for employees to reduce the need for substitutes, and increase the supply reimbursements for professional educators. The Board unanimously approved six recommendations for increased education funding at its meeting this week.
