Beckley Mayor is OK After Being Hit By a Car

Beckley Mayor Bill O’Brien is recovering after he was hit by a car while leaving a baseball game this week. It happened Tuesday evening outside Linda K. Epling Stadium, where the West Virginia Miners and the Terra Haute Rex were playing the first game of the Prospect League Championship Series. O’Brien’s wife, Lynn O’Brien, tells WVNS-TV that he suffered leg injuries, but he’s OK. The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
