Package Thief is Caught

A man accused of stealing packages off porches in the Edgewood area of Charleston has been arrested. A criminal complaint said James Cummings was seen on surveillance video stealing packages from porches along Swathmore Avenue and Beech Street in late November with a stolen Jeep. Police found a receipt from the stolen packages when they recovered the stolen Jeep. Cummings is charged with receiving or transferring stolen goods.
