Coal Company Makes Cuts

More mining jobs are lost. Cliffs Natural Resources has cut its workforce in half at the Oak Grove Mine in Alabama and the Pinnacle Mine in West Virginia. The mines produce metallurgical coal used for steel production. The cuts are a cost-cutting measure as the company realigns its business plan.
