Clendenin to Host Amateur Boxing Event Next Year

Next year’s West Virginia State Amateur Boxing Championships are coming to Clendenin. Elk River Boxing Club will host the bouts Jan. 27 at the former Clendenin Middle School in Clendenin. Boxers from West Virginia and surrounding states will compete, and they’re looking for sponsors now to help fund some of the tournament expenses.
