Ziploc Bags Replace Backpacks to Fight Bed Bugs
A ziploc bag instead of a backpack? In a move to keep bed bugs out of classrooms, a Charleston elementary school is banishing book bags in favor of sealed plastic bags. Today at Chamberlain Elementary School , students have to put their coats and their books in 10-gallon plastic bags. They’ll zip up their bags and stow them in their lockers. After two bed bug sightings, the Charleston Gazette-Mail says the bugs are hitching a ride on someone entering the school building and this is a way to prevent it.
