WV House approves measure to stabalize PEIA funding

The West Virginia House approved a measure that would dedicate twenty percent of the state’s general revenue surpluses to stabilize the Public Employees Insurance Agency. The PEIA board has agreed to freeze insurance rates next year. Teachers are protesting at the State Capitol today over high insurance premiums and low wages. It’s the second day of a school walkout.
