Weather Delays Opening of the Contraflow Lane

The West Virginia Department of Transportation had planned to open the contraflow lane on I-64 in Putnam County last night, but heavy rain delayed plans until Wednesday. Traffic heading eastbound in the left lane will cross over the median just before the Teays Valley exit and travel in the contraflow lane. Two westbound lanes will be open. The speed limit will remain 55 miles-per-hour through the entire 20-mile work zone.
