Two From Putnam County Enter Kickback Pleas

Two Putnam County men pleaded guilty Tuesday in a federal pay-to-play case. Mark Rudolph Whitt of Winfield and James Travis Miller of Hurricane are accused of steering state highway projects to a South Carolina business in exchange for bribes and kickbacks. WCHS TV reports Whitt faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
Miller faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.
