Slow start to buck firearm season
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources says hunters harvested about 13-thousand buck on opening day of the buck firearm season. DNR says that number is down from opening day last year, but the agency believed the number of bucks taken this year will be higher because of a robust deer population. The season opened Monday and will last through December 1st.
