Ski resort owner charged with tax evasion

Tax evasion charges are being filed in Tucker County against one of the owners of the Timberline Four Seasons Resort. Prosecutors say Fred Hertz didn’t pay hotel-motel taxes for a year, and owes more than four-thousand-dollars in back taxes. Timberline was scheduled to open its ski season today but is pushing that back a week.
