Putnam County Eyes School Improvements
Early voting starts Wednesday for the school board elections in May. Two Putnam County school board candidates have highlighted the need for improvements at the schools to deal with a spike in the number of students. Hurricane Middle School has been particularly crowded has transformed the library into classrooms. The Gazette-Mail reports the board is currently in the process of applying to get funds from the school building authority to get four additional classrooms for the school. School improvements will continue to be a focus after the election for the new board. The WV primary is May 8th.
