Nearly 700 Finish in Charleston Distance Run

Hundreds of runners were in Charleston over the Labor Day weekend for the annual Charleston Distance Run. 32-year old Bryan Morseman of Bath, N.Y., won the men’s race, and 31-year old Purity Munene of Columbia, S.C. won the women’s portion. Huntington’s Holly Ann Swann was the women’s runner up, and Charleston’s Kevin Charette and Nick Bias finished in the top five for the men. A total of 353 finished this year’s 15-mile run while a total of 325 finished the 5K.
