National Guard troops preparing for emergency operations

State and local officials across West Virginia are preparing for Hurricane Florence as it approaches the Carolina coast. Fifty National Guard soldiers are staging across the state to prepare for emergency operations. And Air Guard personnel are processing seventy FEMA tractor-trailer-loads of water, food, tents, cots, blankets and fuel for distribution as needed following Florence’s landfall.
