Michael W. Smith performs at Bush’s funeral

West Virginia native, Michael W. Smith, performed his song “Friends” at George H.W. Bush’s funeral service. Smith’s hometown is Kenova, and when he returns home he still sings with the church choir at First Baptist Church of Kenova. Smith became friends with Bush following a White House Christmas performance in 1989 and the two remained close.
