Man on Trial for Murder Commits Suicide

As the murder trial was in progress, the man on trial was found dead in his home Wednesday morning. Scott Meador was facing charges in the death of Glen Carpenter, Jr. who died in October 2015 inside a night club in Jefferson. Kanawha County Prosecutor Chuck Miller says Meador was found dead in his home Wednesday in an apparent suicide, just before he was set to testify in the trial.
