Man Accused of Attacking Senator Enters Plea
Jonathan Porter has pleaded guilty in an attack of Richard Ojeda, who is now a West Virginia Senator. Porter pleaded guilty in Kanawha County Circuit Court to unlawful assault after being accused of attacking Ojeda with brass knuckles at a political cookout in Logan County last year. Eyewitness News reports Porter’s sentencing will be June 7th, and he faces one to five years in prison.
