Golf carts could be coming to Nitro streets

You may soon be sharing the road with golf carts on the streets of Nitro. Nitro City council passed the first reading of an ordinance that would allow golf carts to travel on some city streets. The carts would have to be registered and equipped with headlights, tail lights, and parking brakes. Drivers would need a valid driver’s license to operate the vehicles. Council will vote on the second reading at its next meeting.
