forestry workers losing jobs

By the end of the weekend, the names of 37 Division of Forestry workers without a job will be known. When the new fiscal budget goes into effect on July 1st, the state forestry department will need to cut its workforce by 35-percent. Many of those who could be out of work next week are on the job this week cutting trees that were knocked down in last week’s flooding.
