Fire Season has Started

Knock on some lumber, or a tree trunk, but so far the number of forest fires in West Virginia is down. The fire season officially started at the beginning of the month, and less than 40-acres have burned since the middle of the summer. The main concern going into the fire season was the reduction of fire fighters, due to budget cuts. In 2015, nearly 700 fires scorched more than 17-thousand acres.
