Dow and DuPont to Merge

In a $130 billion deal, Dow Chemical and the DuPont Co. announce that they are merging. Dow has a South Charleston manufacturing plant that produces over 500 chemicals and plastics for products manufactured in other places. The South Charleston Technology Park is a center for engineering, research, and development. There’s also a production center in Belle that makes chemical products for everything from cosmetics to explosives. No word yet on how the merger will impact operations.
