Coal Mining Budget

The National Academy of Science’s study on the health impact of mountaintop removal coal mining is on hold. Budget concerns from the Trump administration is the reason given for the stoppage. The Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign for the Appalachian region called the decision to stop the study “infuriating.”
