Charleston police officer won’t go to trial over crash

A Charleston Police officer charged with the death of an 80-year-old woman will not go to trial. Officer Stephen Doss was responding to call when he crashed into Dora Clarke’s car; she died as a result of injuries from the wreck. Officer Doss Agreed to a plea deal yesterday and will not stand trial.
