Animal Shelter Offers Tips for Animals in Cold Weather

The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association was closed most of the weekend because of the state of emergency, but workers did manage to check on animals throughout the day. KCHA is offering several tips to keep pets safe in the cold and snow, and that includes making sure pets have a chance to warm themselves with blankets or straw, and even space heaters. Travel crates and areas beneath porches aren’t adequate, and if you see animals in harsh conditions you can report that to animal control.
