Dangerous Road to Blame for Accident
A driver told deputies he hit a wet, slick spot on a Kanawha County road when his station wagon overturned near South Charleston Wednesday afternoon. Wet roads are expected to be the norm over much of the holiday weekend in West Virginia. Deputies said somehow, James Roberts was not injured when his car skidded off Smith Creek Road, plunged down an embankment and landed on its roof Wednesday afternoon. People in the neighborhood allege speeding on the curvy road has become a serious problem.
