Water Settlement Delayed
The final decision on West Virginia’s water crisis settlement was delayed Tuesday. There were no objections to the deal in federal court in Charleston Tuesday, but WCHS TV reported the final settlement of the MCHM water crisis was pushed back to Feb.1. Judge John Copenhaver wanted more information before making a final decision. As part of the proposed settlement, homeowners and renters would receive $550 each plus $180 for each additional person in the household. Tuesday marked the 4-year anniversary of the crude MCHM spill.
