Upgrading Eastern Panhandle

First Energy is spending tens of millions of dollars to upgrade service in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle. The company has been working through more than 128-million dollars in infrastructure upgrades for West Virginia and Western Maryland and said yesterday more than half of the money has been used. The projects include transmission enhancements to economic growth, constructing new distribution circuits, and inspecting and replacing utility poles and underground cables.
