Teachers Continue Action, Which Could Include Strike
The West Virginia School Service Personnel Association for the first time in its history has voted for a statewide call to action. The association is not saying what the job action will be. Union representatives of the West Virginia Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers-West Virginia said last weekend that teachers and school service personnel voted overwhelmingly to strike if issues are not addressed. Teacher unions said a strike could come soon, but in the meantime, there could be town hall meetings, rallies, walk-ins and walkouts.
