Statewide Drug Prevention

A statewide drug prevention initiative is being launched in West Virginia. Senator Joe Manchin was on hand his week at Winfield Middle School as a pledge was made to donate 55-thousand drug deactivation pouches to ensure proper disposal of unused prescription medications. Each of the 55 counties will receive one-thousand pouches to distribute through county sheriff’s offices, local law enforcement, drug prevention coalitions and senior centers.
