State Board of Education Waives A-F Grading System
The state school board is moving away from the A-F grading system. After a vote Wednesday, West Virginia public schools will not be receiving “A-F” grades in 2017. The WV Board of Education voted to waive the accountability system after educators and others asked the board to take another look at the accountability system. The board said in a statement it understands an accountability system is necessary, but they want to take time to evaluate the best solution for schools and communities.
