Senate bill would prohibit smoking with kids in the car

A West Virginia Senate committee advanced a bill that would prohibit smoking in motor vehicles when riding with children sixteen and younger. The bill would make violations a misdemeanor with a 25-dollar fine. Supporters say that exposure to cigarette smoke increases respiratory and heart health risks for children, even if they never smoke.
