Power Plants

FirstEnergy Corp is asking the Public Service Commission of West Virginia to allow for two of its subsidiaries to make a deal. Mon Power and Potomac Edison want to purchase the Pleasants Power Station at Willow Island. The current FirstEnergy subsidiary that owns the plant is Allegheny Energy Supply. The difference in state regulation between Ohio and West Virginia could mean cheaper power bills for customers.
