Natural Gas Bills Will Be Lower This Fall
Good news for your bank account. The Public Service Commission anticipates lower gas utility bills for most of us this fall. Eight of the twelve natural gas utilities operating in the state have filed requests with the Commission to lower the purchased gas portion of their rates, and that will affect about two thirds of the population. Mountaineer Gas Company is the largest natural gas utility in the State, and has asked for a decrease effective November 1, 2016. The gas rates of customers are adjusted annually to account for the cost of gas.
