Man serving longest non-life sentence dies after less than a year in prison

A man serving the longest non-life sentence in West Virginia history has died after serving less than a year in prison. Fifty-year-old Michael Vega was hospitalized Sunday after a medical episode and he died in the hospital on Wednesday. Vega was sentenced in January to over one-thousand years in prison for sexual assault and abuse involving young victims.
